Trust Chairs Chester programme notes

Welcome to Community Day at the Attis Arena v fellow promotion chasers Chester FC where another record-breaking crowd for National League North is expected, let’s hope both sets of supporters embrace the occasion and behave responsibly.

As it is Community Day the Iron Trust will be joining other stall holders opposite the Iron bar rather than our usual slot at Trust corner. Please support the club’s initiatives on the day by browsing stalls and sampling the additional food delights on sale, whilst of course dropping in to see us at the Trust.

The new Iron Trust football card fundraiser for one of the exclusive 125-year celebratory orange scarves is now up and running, Boxes cost £2 and are going extremely well. All proceeds will be put into buying further shares to increase the fans stake in our club.

Great to see Irish Iron at the last home game v Leamington, Bernard and son Ben were in the Iron Bar prior to the match peddling Irish Iron goodies and giving a glimpse of their exclusive membership badge for next season. Bernard will be back for the Peterborough Sports game where members new and old can sign up for next season.

Fans may have seen a rather tall, long-haired chap wondering around with a camera recently: he is Ryan Pears and an Iron fan who grew up in Bottesford, though now residing in the city of Groningen, Netherlands. Ryan intends on cycling to West Africa and is in the process of writing a book on football.

New Stadium and Operations manager Martin Hopper introduced himself to the Iron Trust at a recent SAG meeting. Martin who has taken over from Alan Welsh is pencilled in to attend the next Trust meeting in April.

The Trust offers life membership for £10 including a membership card and exclusive badge and a newsletter sent to your email prior to every home league game; eligibility to vote in the Player of the month awards and voting rights in any formal Trust election as well as the opportunity to attend the Trust AGM.

Up the mighty Iron
