The Iron Trust quiz night: a great night with Winterton Iron taking the honours.

The Iron Trust quiz night: a great night with Winterton Iron taking the honours.

Thank you to everyone who came to the quiz night last Friday, it was a great success.

We had 8 quiz teams with 35 players in total. Tony Gosling set the questions and was question-master on the night. We now know which EFL club has the smallest capacity stadium, who the Irons’ first ever league opponent were at the OSG and the name of the fastest steam train.

Winterton Iron took the honours and will be donating their prize money to Lincs Air Ambulance.

The auction went well and Dave Beverley oversaw some tense bidding between a few of the audience for the Alex Calvo Garcia signed shirt and for the Gary Hooper signed shirt. Great fun!

With entry money, auction and raffle total proceeds came to £602.

The Trust will use the money raised to purchase more SUFC shares on behalf of our members.

And n case you were wondering, Harrogate Town, Shrewsbury and the Mallard!
