Flag Day 2017 – Update
It’s that time of year again and as usual, we’re going to take a few moments to remind you that many of the staff at Café Indiependent are volunteers working towards making their own lives better.
They are training towards an NVQ for a six-month period, with this in mind we ask that you show a little patience and kindness again.
There will be two bars running, so if there’s a queue for the ales feel free to sample some of the canned and bottled ales and lagers in the downstairs bar.
As usual, there are two tear offs on your ticket. You will need both. The unstamped tear off will need to be handed over for your free pint and the second (stamped Iron Trust) will be for your pie. Please note that this year, you can redeem your free pint on any of the real ales/ciders, but not the Café’s regular stock.
Your ales for the evening are:
Best Bitter (aka Iron Brew)
Clearwater Pale Ale (Isle of Axholme)
Daleside Pale Ale (Daleside)
Rev. James Bitter (Brains)
Golden Hare Blonde/Light Ale (Bath)
Strawberry Cider
A huge thank you must go to the acts performing on the night, We Collect Pogs & Los Reciclodores for giving up their time. Thanks to David and staff at Cafe Indie and to Zoe Butler from Blue Teapot Media who will be capturing the night on film for the second year running.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has purchased a ticket and made it another sell out event! Our good cause this year is St Luke’s School and our donation will allow them to purchase some musical instruments for their students, so please dig deep for the raffle and let’s raise as much money for them as possible.
Timetable for the evening:
Please note the venue is at capacity and there will be no walk ins on the night. Nobody will be admitted without a ticket so please ensure if you reserved a ticket that you have collected it prior to arriving at the venue.
